Logging into SURF Research Drive will require two factor authentication to be enabled for your account.
Activating Two Factor Authentication (2FA):
1. Download an authentication app from your App Store or Google Play Store. For example, Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
2. Go to your account settings at the top right in the HAN Research Drive environment.
3. Go to the Security heading and activate TOTP second factor Auth there.
4. Scan the displayed QR code with your authentication app.
5. Your authentication app will give you back a code, enter it in the Token field.
Advice
In case you lose your phone, the authentication app is not working properly or your account has been deleted from the authentication app, you will no longer be able to log into SURF Research Drive.
To avoid being locked out, you can generate some backup codes that will also allow you to access your account and reset the 2FA settings.
Click on Generate codes under the Second Factor backup codes section in the SURF Research Drive settings overview.
